1995 – present:  Principal and Senior Consultant, The Harral Group

The Harral Group specializes in increasing organizational effectiveness for public and private businesses and organizations.  It provides tailored services in group facilitation, communication effectiveness, management training, planning and goal-setting, and leadership development for boards, organizations and businesses as diverse as computer technology, pharmaceuticals, education, banking, health care, and government

1995 – present:  Executive Director, Leadership Fort Worth

Provide direction to one of the oldest community leadership development programs in the country; develop curriculum for leadership development, public service awareness, and involvement; oversee youth and young professional leadership development programs; manage graduate level programming; work with board, staff and volunteers.

2003 -- present: Adjunct Professor, Singapore Baptist Theological Seminary

Teach communication to students and conduct workshops for ministers in Singapore

1995 – 2003: Adjunct Professor, MBA Program, Texas Wesleyan University

Taught Business and Organizational Communication in the MBA program

Business History:

1991 - 1995:  Director, Center for Productive Communication, M. J. Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University

Managed programs to incorporate communication skills throughout the Neeley School curriculum and activities;  administered videoconferencing facility and programming; directed consultation programs for faculty, students and business constituents; rated by The Princeton Review Guide to the Top 70 Business Schools as number one in the nation in teaching communication skills (1993, 1994, 1995)

1987 - 1991:  Director of Employee and Organization Development, City of Fort Worth, Texas

Directed organizational interventions as planned with the City Manager; administered the supervisory, managerial, general employee and executive development training for the 5,000 City employees;  established and managed special projects such as the Employee Assistance Program (obtained State grant), community strategic planning sessions, and City Council planning sessions.

1983 - 1986:  Administrative Aide to the Mayor/Director of Training and Staff Development, City of Jacksonville, Florida

Directed all supervisory, managerial, and general employee development training for the 10,000 employees of the City;  developed the department as an entirely new activity in City government; responsible for policy, planning, budget and implementation

Directed organization interventions under the direction of the Mayor; developed, funded and implemented a citywide Employee Assistance Program;  staffed Blue Ribbon Committee on Public Safety that investigated grand jury allegations of mismanagement in Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Divisions;  directed Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women; led City Division of the Jacksonville United Way to record fund-raising levels; represented the Mayor at community functions.

1981 - 1983:  Training Specialist at University Medical Center of Jacksonville

Consultant in the development and implementation of mandatory competence-based management education and of systemwide MBO program. Developed and administered New Employee Orientation and hospital-wide Interpersonal Effectiveness workshops.

1981:   Duval County Public Schools:  Member of 5-person Planning Team for the creation and implementation of Stanton College Preparatory Magnet School (Consultant)

1972 - 1983: Served on university faculties at University of Illinois, Chicago; University of North Florida; and University of Colorado
